I’m ready to prove myself,” said Frankie Muniz, the actor-turned-racer, as he prepares for his full-time NASCAR Truck Series debut. Known for his role in Malcolm in the Middle, Muniz is set to shift gears from screen to track, making his appearance behind the wheel of the No. 33 Ford for Reaume Brothers Racing next year.

The 39-year-old will finally take on the iconic Daytona 500 as a full-timer, with fans eagerly awaiting his performance and sending their support. Muniz is right now at the Charlotte Motor Speedway amping up for the day and taking care of technicalities.

Frankie Muniz, a name well known to most by now, did not have a very eventful run as a part-time driver. His last four Truck Series outings didn’t turn out as expected. He took part in four Truck Series races in 2024 and did not finish higher than P29 at Kansas. However, In the 2023 ARCA Menards Series, Muniz finished in an impressive fourth position.  

Currently, Muniz is at Charlotte Motor Speedway so that he can prepare himself to drive the No. 33 car in Daytona. The Daytona 500 is the biggest opening event and it marks the start of the season and is always a huge celebration. It is also of high importance for the drivers, as the purse amount is the highest at Daytona. Muniz’s entry at Charlotte has fans excited as it inches him closer to his long-term dream of making it to the world of racing. Taking to X, Muniz shared with his fans about his current status. He posted, “On my first trip of the 2025 NASCAR season. Just landed in Charlotte, getting seats mounted and getting everything prepped for the season now, so we can focus on the important stuff as we get closer to Daytona! @RBR_Teams@FordPerformance”.

Muniz has always been very vocal about how much his passion lies in driving. For years, he has balanced between his acting duty and his passion to steer across. Muniz has been very involved in the NASCAR world as well, even dating back to his Malcolm in the Middle days. He drove the pace car during the infamous 2001 Daytona 500 when 7-time Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt Sr. tragically lost his life. Reflecting on this, Muniz said to the Athletic, “Yeah. I mean, it’s a weird thought to think that maybe minus his crew chief and family, I may have been one of the last people to talk to him.”

Speaking of his aspirations, Muniz said, “Racing is something I’ve always been passionate about, and getting a full-time opportunity is a dream come true. I’m looking forward to showing what I can do with a full season under my belt.” Now that he is all set to embark on his new journey, fans cannot help but be ecstatic about his entry.

Despite his unimpressive previous experience with the Truck Series, Frankie Muniz has fostered some goodwill among the fans. Some of this can come from his popularity as a star of Malcolm in the Middle as well. 

A fan took to his post and shared how ecstatic the vibe is at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina when it comes to NASCAR. After all, North Carolina is the home of the sport. The comment read, “We live here & love all things NASCAR! My son, Ryan, works at the Lionel Store at Concord Mills Mall near the Speedway. He would be so excited to meet you & have you visit the store! A lot of drivers come in to see all of the trains and NASCAR diecast! Welcome to Charlotte!😀🏁”.

Another fan could not help but express how much he has been waiting for Muniz’s debut. He posted, “Nice, looking forward to your debut”. Given that this is one of the most important phases as he gears up to take on a full-time role for the first time, a fan said, “Good luck in preparation, Frankie”!! 

The popularity that Frankie Muniz has acquired over the years with his daily soap has made him quite a loved name among fans. From seeing him every week on an entertainment channel, now they will see him on sports channels. A fan shared this excitement on this and wrote, “Can’t wait to see you out there every week! Does this mean I will see you late nights on iracing”. 

It seems as though fans do have some suggestions for Frankie Muniz as well given that he is Charlotte. Advising him to try out some delectable food items and even promising to pay for them just to get a chance to meet him, a fan said, “Frankie you gotta go to Steak n Hoagie on Eastway Drive it’s not far from the speedway I’ll buy please meet me there”.
