Last weekend, there was a bit of a face-off between Alex Bowman and Denny Hamlin. The Hendrick Motorsports driver bumped the Joe Gibbs Racing driver into a spin and almost cost him a Championship 4 spot. In a fit of anger, Hamlin dubbed Bowman as an ‘absolute hack’.
Later on, this prompted a strong response from Bowman supporters, especially Rick Hendrick. There was even a slight moment of petty revenge, as Bowman revealed a new set of car stickers. Right on top of his own name, he replaced ‘Alex’ with ‘Hack’. Next to that were four checkered flag stickers. This was supposed to represent his four wins in the 2021 season.

Of course, the fans loved the cheeky response to the comments. Many of them admitted that are becoming fans of the #48 driver because of his response to the criticism. Others also defended him, insisting that ‘hack’ drivers don’t normally win four races in a season. Furthermore, they all admired the way that Bowman drove to victory at Martinsville.
Hacks don't win 4X in a season. Congrats on a successful season. One more to go. Good luck out west Alex & all the @allyracing 48 team.

At the end of the day, Bowman has no effect on the championship, other than making things difficult. This is because, his moment with Hamlin almost cost the #11 driver a chance to make it to the Championship 4. In the end, he has squeaked through to the season finale at the Phoenix Raceway in the coming weekend.
Now, Denny Hamlin will have to put his feud with Bowman aside, as there are more important things to look after. Namely, the 2021 Cup Series championship fight ahead of him. His rivals will be his teammate Martin Truex Jr and Hendrick Motorsports duo, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson. Although Larson is one of the favorites, given his form, anything can happen at the season finale.

Out of the quartet, only Larson and Hamlin have yet to win a title. Meanwhile, Truex Jr and Elliott have one title under their belts. We can be sure that their teammates will all try their level best to help them to the crown.
