Even as the weather playing the spoilsport, postponing the race at Dover International Speedway to the next day, Cup Series driver, Aric Almirola thought of making the most of the extra time he got as he headed down to the drag strip, meeting his team boss, Tony “Smoke” Stewart at an NHRA drag event.
The Stewart-Haas Racing driver went on to support Stewart and his NHRA team Tony Stewart Racing with his son, Alex Almirola. And guess what! The NASCAR community was delighted to see their favorite driver with his boy supporting his team boss.

With the #10 Mustang driver joining Stewart on the drag strip and sharing the moment on their official social media handle, fans quickly jumped on the bandwagon, reacting and commenting on the post.

The NASCAR community was in for a shocker, as nature played foul for the crowds that tuned in for the much-awaited race at Dover, soon the scene became dull with heavy rains lashing across the state. Eventually, the race was postponed to the next day leaving fans saddened.
But this did not shake the fans as they got yet another wholesome moment with their favorite driver, as Almirola dropped to the local drag strip to catch some fun with his son, Alex at the 4 wide national NHRA event alongside his Stewart-Haas co-owner and NASCAR great Tony Stewart.

With “Uncle Tony” winning round 2 of the national event, Almirola did not hesitate to show his love and admiration for the sport. Later, Tony Stewart Racing’s official Twitter handle also tweeted, “NASCAR getting rain delayed in Dover means @Aric_Almirola gets to hang with boss man @TonyStewart today at the #4WideNats.“
And with Stewart’s drag team giving a shout-out to the Cup Series driver on their official Twitter handle, excited fans went on a spree, commenting and sharing the post.
