Prominent NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass revealed that NASCAR still has not made an official announcement to confirm next season’s schedule. Now, the organization wants everyone to focus on the playoffs rather than ponder which venue will be added or removed from 2023’s calendar.

Pockrass added a Tweet, saying, “With no schedule announcement yet, industry folks I talk to don’t expect a schedule announcement until after Labor Day as NASCAR finalizing it & typically wants storylines focused on playoffs the next two weeks.”
“No word on any definitive venue changes beyond Chicago street course.“

The last addition in terms of the track we were made aware of was the one at Chicago. According to Pockrass, there should not be any more track changes.
Moreover, with the uncertainty of the dates that the races will be scheduled on, many fans took to Twitter in protest, claiming that people need to make their plans in advance to attend a race.
Meanwhile, NASCAR has asked everyone to shift their focus to the upcoming Playoffs instead. While it is true that fans need to prepare early on, as per Pockrass, NASCAR might not announce anything before Labor Day.
Fans react to NASCAR not confirming their schedule for next year
Fans were generally annoyed at the decision to delay the announcement and claimed that it was being pushed further back each year.
A few fans spoke about how some tracks, like Talladega and Charlotte, had already started selling their tickets before the official announcement. Meanwhile, a few others speculated that Daytona did not want to host the 4th of July event next year.
This is really annoying for fans that wish to plan a trip to a 2023 race. The schedule is no longer predictable, so can't plan anything until this releases.

Exactly it’s such a joke. Talladega and Charlotte are both doing this

For those of us who want to go to races but have to make plans (teachers need subs way in advance), hotels, etc…. It really is inconvenient having to wait. Just saying. 😬

Daytona does not want it on the 4th anymore.

Not many times I agree with Brett Griffin but I definitely agree this doesn’t make sense to wait until September to release a schedule that starts in 5 months. Seems like each year the schedule release gets later and later in the year.

However, NASCAR has made its decision clear that they would launch the schedule only when everything is confirmed, probably as to not deal with any last-minute changes.
