In the qualifiers on Saturday for Crayon 301, it was evident that the rookie driver, Ty Gibbs was struggling and finding the New Hampshire track to be a handful. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver, who has replaced veteran Kyle Busch in the ongoing season, failed to gain control of his car, as a result of which Gibbs had to start at the rear of the track.

Nevertheless, the rookie driver did not fail to exhibit his caliber as a Cup Series driver, as he drove up in the field and gained position. But it was not long before the driver could capitalize on his position that he fell between Kevin Harvick and Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman. While Harvick nudged Gibbs, it was Bowman who tried to shove the rookie.

But Ty Gibbs is not one to sit back and watch as he tried to get his redemption. With 22 laps to go, Coach Gibbs’s grandson wrecked Bowman at his left rear quarter panel and tried to shove him at the outside wall. Although Bowman tried to get hold of his car, the yellow flag was waved.
