Did Lawless Alan's Xfinity debut prove Hailie Deegan deserves her spot back at AM Racing?

After parting ways with Hailie Deegan, AM Racing started to look for a suitable full-time replacement. While Joey Logano had stepped in for the Chicago Street Course race, the team is still trying to find the perfect fit for them. Saying goodbye to Deegan was a big decision that the team jumped onto. However, it might just be biting them in the back now.

Hailie Deegan’s performance has not been impressive, and that’s why she is currently without a seat for 2025. AM Racing has tried to find a suitable replacement after Josh Berry had two disappointing races, finishing P27 at Pocono and P38 at Indianapolis. The next driver that the team decided to bring in was Lawless Alan and in his first race with the team, the driver wrecked the No. 15 Mustang.

The instant that Alan ended up wrecking the car, fans and critics took to Twitter to share their opinions on the team’s newest driver.

Although the team may not be thrilled with this Michigan run, there might just be a second chance for Alan.

Lawless Alan and Hailie Deegan have had quite a bit of friction in the past, mainly stemming from their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway last year. Seeing Alan take her seat in the Xfinity car must be heartbreaking for Deegan, but the fact that he wrecked the car in his first race has many fans questioning if he will continue to race with the team.
