A lot is expected from Bubba Wallace given his capabilities. The 23XI Racing driver has the potential to be one of the best drivers this season. Unfortunately, things haven’t quite gone well so far this year. Wallace failed to complete the Daytona 500 because of a crash involving multiple cars. This time around at Fontana, it was the engine that gave up on him.

While Kyle Busch had a memorable day on the two-mile oval at the Auto Club Speedway, the same cannot be said for Bubba Wallace. The 29-year-old started the race with high hopes of making it count. Little did he know how the overheating of his car’s engine would hamper his chances of even finishing the race.
Fans laud Bubba Wallace for his efforts
It is annoying and unfortunate for any driver to have their race end because of a technical failure. And when it is a dashing driver like Wallace, it hurts more. The former Richard Petty Motorsports driver was in the top 10 in the 22 lap.

Bubba Wallace has always been a fan-favorite, and it is quite evident why. Unfortunately, he joins the likes of Aric Almirola, Ryan Preece, Tyler Reddick, and Ty Dillon who are too yet to finish a race this season. But this is not the first time this season that Wallace has earned the fans’ sympathy.
