Back during the 2021 race, Chase went on head-to-head against Tanner Foust. Eventually, Elliott emerged victorious, however, was struck back with a penalty. Foust was a far more experienced driver than Elliott, especially in RallyCross.

Even during the start of the race, Foust managed to stay leaps and bounds ahead of the NASCAR champ. However, during the last lap, Chase found a gap, and instead of cutting through like butter, he rammed into the side of Foust’s car. At first, it seemed like a clean move. However, later on, the officials handed Elliott a penalty for ramming into Foust to gain an advantage.
