The Nitro Rally Cross is an event that was recently founded by rally cross driver Travis Pastrana. Last year during the event, NASCAR’s Chase Elliott participated in his first race of such a format. This year it seems like Elliott is back on the hunt. The 2020 Cup Series champion recently shared a video about his preparations for the competition.

In his tweet, he mentioned, “New YouTube video out! Check out Day 1 from @NitroRallycross. Click the link to watch!” This year Elliott would be racing along with Austin Cindric as well.
Back during the 2021 race, Chase went on head-to-head against Tanner Foust. Eventually, Elliott emerged victorious, however, was struck back with a penalty. Foust was a far more experienced driver than Elliott, especially in RallyCross.
Even during the start of the race, Foust managed to stay leaps and bounds ahead of the NASCAR champ. However, during the last lap, Chase found a gap, and instead of cutting through like butter, he rammed into the side of Foust’s car. At first, it seemed like a clean move. However, later on, the officials handed Elliott a penalty for ramming into Foust to gain an advantage.
Chase Elliott fans react to his tweet
Following Elliott’s Tweet, fans sent out messages of support. They perceived the series to be fun and interesting. Some of them even mentioned how they missed videos like these coming from the Hendrick Motorsports driver. More people said how they couldn’t wait to see more of these from Elliott.
Fans stated,
I have missed these type of videos. 🔥
