Daniel Ricciardo is often loved by fans across different sports and not just Formula One. His spontaneous decision to do something hilarious or fun knows no bounds, and that is arguably the best thing about the Australian Formula One driver. While in Texas, as he prepares for perhaps his last US GP race at Austin, Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr sends a tweet thanking Ricciardo for a gift.

As preparations for the US Grand Prix ramp-up, Danny Ric decided to arrive at the paddock in style, by riding a horse with a full-on cowboy outfit and a jacket with the American flag on it. Oh, did we forget the cowboy hat? Yeah, that too. As he rode in, a country singer named Rob Baird, sang his song, Dreams and Gasoline.

The Honey Badger did not stop there to announce his arrival. In fact, he sent a whole bunch of his latest merch to Dale Earnhardt Jr. After receiving the gift, Dale replied to Danial’s horse riding clip from F1 with a stop motion video of him unboxing the merch. Junior then mentioned, The merch you sent now makes so much sense @danielricciardo.”

Riccardo has been known to be a massive Dale Earnhardt Sr fan and even had the chance to drive one of his iconic race cars a year prior. He had also started that Earnhardt Sr was one of his idols growing up. Back in 2021, Earnhardt Jr had spoken highly of the Honey Badger and apparently thanked him for his appreciation for Junior’s father.

Fans tease the possibility of JR Motorsports getting Daniel Ricciardo

Following the tweet shared by Junior, multiple fans teased the idea of getting the Aussie Formula One driver a run in NASCAR.

Since Ricciardo will probably not have a seat for the 2023 season with how things stand, for now, it does seem like a good idea. We all know that he loves NASCAR and is no slouch behind the wheel. Perhaps all of this could become a reality one day. Who knows?
