Reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has proven his dominance in the world since he ventured into F1 in 2015. This time, the racing prodigy has entered the realm of NASCAR. But what connection does Verstappen have with stock car racing?

It’s because his girlfriend Kelly Piquet is the to-be sister-in-law of Daniel Suarez. And as the Christmas spirit is flowing through the motorsport community, the Piquet sisters have brought their racing boyfriends together, leaving no stone unturned to make it a Christmas to remember.

Kelly Piquet’s sister Julia is dating NASCAR Cup Series racer Daniel Suarez, and because Christmas is when families take time out of their hectic schedules and bond with one another, the Piquet sisters did the same.

Taking the Christmas celebration to another level, the Piquet sisters thought it would be best to bring the drivers from their motorsport world to the arena of celebrations. So to add the motorsport vibe to the party, Kelly and Julia brought in their boyfriends, Verstappen and Suarez, to join the merriment.

Sharing his joyous moment with the NASCAR community, Suarez took to Instagram and posted a picture, wherein a plethora of guests graced the party with their presence, and of course, Santa Claus in the middle couldn’t be missed.

The motorsport prodigies had a great time together at the party. But how well do Verstappen and Suarez know each other? Well, their bonding kicked off at an F1 circuit earlier this year and seems to be going really well.

But it was when Suarez met Verstappen, he felt like standing next to any other race car driver in the Truck Series. Impressed by the 3x Formula 1 world champion’s persona, Suarez told The Athletic, “We actually got to know each other way more at the Miami race. He’s a great guy. He’s been very successful and he’s very smart.”

The Trackhouse Racing driver then commended his abilities at such a young age and said, “Especially for his age, he’s extremely smart, very focused, very calm…He shows how mature, smart and calm he is. He’s very easygoing […] I have a lot of respect for him.”
