During a recent interview on the NASCAR Race Hub, Jenson Button shared his experience of getting an insight into the workings of stock car racing at the Hendrick Motorsports facility. The 2018 Super GT champ said, “Great, and you know, I’ve been to Stewart-Haas as well, and to see the facilities, it was beyond what I expected. It really is”

Having been associated with F1 for a long time, Button reckoned that hundreds of millions are spent on racing every year in the league. However, he did not imagine NASCAR doing something like that. He continued, “I didn’t expect that from stock car racing but they are really really impressive and I know there are a lot of common parts now in Cup Series. But I think now it’s down to the minute details and these teams are so good at doing that.”

Button seemed dazzled after witnessing the development of stock car racing firsthand at the Hendrick Motorsports facility.

The F1 veteran believed that racing in NASCAR is a lot more difficult than his previous experiences. Button said, “It’s having cars all around you, having a spotter telling you who’s where and a lot of the time you’re stuck in the middle and you can’t really do much.”
