During a recent interview with NASCAR Race Hub, Jenson opened up about his experience as a Formula 1 champion and his participation in NASCAR this season. He mentioned what it is like to be a Formula 1 champion and shed light on one of the most surreal moments of his career—a moment that he looks back on.

During the interview, Jenson differentiated between race wins and championship wins. When asked about the feeling of winning, the 47-year-old exclaimed, “Race wins are spectacular. Race wins are high adrenaline, high emotion, and is living in the moment. So, they’re great.

“But when you win a world championship, it’s so much more than that. You don’t have the high adrenaline, I didn’t, anyway, but it was more relief. You know, it’s a long season.”

It’s no surprise that winning the world championship is the most cherished moment for the former F1 driver. He reflected on how the feeling of being a world champion always stays with him, adding jokingly, “even if I’m cleaning my child’s diaper.”
