With 14 Cup Series championships under his name, Hall of Fame Rick Hendrick and his eponymous organization Hendrick Motorsports stand tall in the NASCAR paddocks. However, the never-ending quest to achieve more has led the team boss to cross the Atlantic and rev up its engine on the French track.

It was a blend of ecstasy, jubilation, and tears that overpowered the camp of Hendrick Motorsports, as years of development had not only come to life in the 24-hour endurance racing at Le Mans but also resulted in a 32nd place finish in a 62-car field. Nonetheless, it seems that the sense of celebration is yet to simmer down as it made an unanticipated appearance beckoning a sense of nostalgia from the former Formula 1 champion.

Imagine waking up to the roaring sound of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 engine instead of the jarring sound of the alarm clocks. For many, it might be an aberration, but for a NASCAR enthusiast, it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity, or rather music to the ears.

Owing to this, Rick Hendrick’s pride, Garage 56’s backup car made a surprising appearance on the track of Indianapolis, just days after running a few laps on the track of ROVAL. It was Jordan Taylor on the track of Charlotte, garnering cheer from the audience as they witnessed the legendary car in action, while Mr.H stood as a proud owner, witnessing the beast roaring on the 17-turn track.

After the small stint on Sunday, the car was also seen blaring through the track of Indianapolis, as early as 4 in the morning. A NASCAR fan had posted the video of the car making laps on the track, while many flocked to the track, watching the car live in action. The fan also added the words on Twitter, “And here she is in Indianapolis at roughly 4 AM. Absolute thunder every lap.”

As a result, Jenson Button, the former Formula 1 champion who was a part of the Garage 56 drivers roster, alongside 7x Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and Mike Rockenfeller, shared his nostalgia after viewing the video.

He reposted the tweet with the words, “Wow, how I miss her .”
