Steve Myers, iRacing Executive Producer reveals what makes the virtual NASCAR races so realistic. He posted a tweet replying to a Twitter user’s comment on Tonight’s Pro Invitation Series lineup.
A Twitter user was questioning including Parker Kligerman in tonight’s iRacing event. Therefore, Myers replied to his Tweet defending the decision to include Parker Kligerman in the mix.
He said that it was Kligerman “who advocated for a pod in the NASCAR-NBC studio”. And his work makes it possible for iRacing to make the eNASCAR races so realistic.

iRacing has been running the ‘Pro Invitation Series’ featuring real-life NASCAR drivers. It is being done to fill in the void left by canceled races amid the Coronavirus Pandemic. Additionally, iRacing also runs the official ‘eNASCAR’ racing championships for sim racers.
Today’s race in the Virtual Richmond Raceway Pro Invitation Series will feature top drivers like Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, etc.

Last Night, iRacing organized the ‘Saturday Night Thunder’ event with 48 drivers racing on the Richmond Raceway. Drivers raced in the virtual circuit in Xfinity Series cars. Notably, only the drivers not racing in Today’s event were eligible to participate today.

iRacing VP credits Parker Kligerman for the iRacing’s NASCAR events
Kligerman advocated installing pods in NASCAR studios. As revealed by Myres, this is what gave the iRacing edge over everyone to develop their broadcasting tools. And is the reason they can organize these virtual races so smoothly and with realistic setups.
Parker Kligerman is an American professional stock car racing driver. He is the ex development driver for Penske Racing. However, after his former race team, Swan Racing suspended operations he has been working for NBCSN as a NASCAR analyst and a guest Pit Reporter. In addition, he has raced in the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series over the years.

Additionally, Kligerman competes in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series on a part-time basis. He drives the No. 75 Chevrolet Silverado for Henderson Motorsports.
