Winning the prestigious Wally trophy by drag racing against the division’s seasoned veterans of the sport in a quad-race final is no joke! After going on a spectacular run in NASCAR and Indycar series, winning multiple championships, the fan community witnessed an emotional Tony ‘Smoke’ Stewart explaining his thoughts while making a confession during his post-race interview.

While the veteran driver has seen his fair share of adversity during his racing days, and still receives a great deal of criticism as the Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner, this hasn’t stopped ‘smoke’ to go out venture into other events, surprisingly the senior driver has a lot of success with his drag racing career and his own promotion.
In the wake of his recent accolade on the drag strip, Stewart has made an interesting confession during his post-race interview. Emerging out of his Mobil-1 dragster, a thrilled Stewart wisecracked a line from the popular Hollywood movie, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby: “I feel like Ricky Bobby. I don’t know what to do with my hands.”
As per Autoweek, after edging out the seasoned veteran Todd Bruce in the final race, Stewart said, “I got tired of looking at Leah’s Wallys, and I wanted to know what it feels like to have one of my own.”
Despite a disappointing setback later last year, being new to the drag scene, Tony Stewart proved to the whole world that he has still got it enough and plenty on him by coming home victorious edging out 3 other veterans in the final quad-race.
Coining the famous dialogue from the popular comedy movie, Stewart, after his victory felt like the main character, Ricky, who had to claw his way back to the top after his downfall, the veteran NASCAR driver certainly felt he was on top of the world.

Owing to his incredible win, a delighted Tony Stewart praised his team for working with him through the thick and thin days, persevering through all the winless days. Because of the historic milestone, excited commentators screamed, “Last year he lost by 2 ten thousandths of a second, this year he won by 3 ten thousandths of a second.”

Further in the post-race interview, Stewart voiced his delight and explained his intentions, “I wanna do exactly what we’re doing right this second. I want to hold more of these trophies, so I enjoyed, love our teams with you know Dodge power brokers, funny car and top fuel car but I love having the opposition to race well, these guys, this is a cool class with some really cool drivers and teams.”
