While we have reached another exciting race week with fans all in for an epic short-track race at Bristol Motor Speedway, we have more updates coming from the NASCAR world regarding the first road race of 2024, the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. Amidst the fresh names of big names returning to the Cup Series roster, prominent NASCAR enthusiasts have mentioned the pending driver line-up, also confirming new information about 23XI Racing’s #50 driver.

Kamui Kobayashi to pilot the #50 23XI Racing Toyota at COTA

Even while the stage is being set in Bristol for a close-quarter dash, NASCAR Nation gets more news about next week’s highly anticipated road race in Austin, Texas. The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, COTA in short, will be the schedule’s first road race, and building up to the race, Fox reporter Bob Pockrass has revealed the filed team rosters, confirming the news of Kamui Kobayashi’s second NASCAR attempt.

In a social media post, the senior reporter and enthusiast mentioned that not all teams have filed rosters but stated the fixed one. Both Kaulig Racing and 23XI Racing will have three cars entering the race, with A.J. Allmendinger and Shane van Gisbergen all set to seize the moment. Relaying the news to the fans, Pockrass confirmed the filed rosters for the race, with Kobayashi piloting the #50 Toyota for 23XI Racing and SVG driving the #16 Chevy for Kaulig Racing alongside Allmendinger, who will be in the #13 car.

Timmy Hill is also stated to be racing for MBM Racing in the #60 car. While the reporter broke the news to the fandom, delivering fresh updates, he also stated that not all teams have filed their rosters for the race, and many are yet to file them, which they will once we get near the actual race week.

Rolling into the fifth race of the schedule, after total annihilation by the Toyotas at Phoenix Raceway, it looks like the Chevys are back for revenge as A.J. Allmendinger qualifies at the top for Sunday’s short-track bonanza. Returning to the Cup schedule, the veteran has occupied the top spot in Saturday’s qualifying with a metric score of 37.050 in group A.

Taking things to his social media, Bob Pockrass put out a detailed schedule of the upcoming races, including the Cup and Truck races and NASCAR Racehub. Zane Smith and Joey Logano occupy the second and third spots in Group A. On the other hand, Austin Dillon in his #3 RCR Chevy takes the top spot in group B, followed by Kaz Grala and Josh Berry in groups two and three.

Fans can watch the Truck Series race on Saturday at FS1, with NASCAR Raceday scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. As for the Cup side of things, fans can catch the action on FS1 and Fox.
