Kyle Larson is surely a great driver in the Cup Series, but we could see him show his racing prowess in IndyCar. The defending Cup Series Champion recently shared his interest in competing in the single-seater racing series.
Does Larson want to follow in Danica Patrick’s footsteps?

It started when Team Penske IndyCar driver, Josef Newgarden, was involved in an incident on the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 presented by Google on Sunday at Iowa Speedway. Although he was cleared, he later lost consciousness because of a cut at the back of his head. So, Newgarden has been on hold since the incident. And the team is looking for a replacement. Surprisingly, Kyle Larson showed interest.
And in a Twitter post asking who would wanna fill in for the Team Penske driver, the 2021 Cup Series Champion raised his hand.

Jeff Gordon Shares His Take On Kyle Larson Racing In Indy500
Danica Patrick might be the most popular driver to switch from the NASCAR Cup Series to IndyCar. However, there might be an even bigger one as Kyle Larson talked about making a big entry into the Indy500.
Fortunately, Hendrick Motorsports’ Vice Chairman, Jeff Gordon, is on board with the idea!
Gordon said, “We’d like to at least discuss as a group what makes the most sense — this is the priority here, and if he went to drive in the Indy 500, we’d want to make sure we’re supporting it, embracing it and excited about it because we think both can be done well.”

However, Gordon has his priorities.
“My priorities and things I want to focus on the most are: ‘What’s going to help us continue to stay at an elite level of cars, teams, competitively and all the ingredients it takes to do that?’”
