Circuits are giving proper tribute to Jimmie Johnson. The 7 times NASCAR champion is in his last NASCAR season. Dover International Speedway is giving an amazing send off to Jimmie Johnson. The Speedway has placed his Ally No. 48 car in the hands of Miles the Monster.

Dover Internation Speedway released a statement, “I can’t think of a better situation for my final year than going to the Monster Mile and having Miles stand up front, holding that 48 car,” Johnson said.

“It’s my favorite track. Ally and Hendrick Motorsports are doing amazing things together. To go [to Dover] and hopefully win the race and experience the ultimate of highs would be really special.”

He is best at Dover International Speedway. He has eleven triumphs at this particular speedway. This even incorporates when he won both the races at the track in 2002 and 2009.

Ally, the financial services company also announced that it will be the new presenting sponsor of the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza and the Monster Bridge suite complex overlooking Turn 3.

Can Jimmie Johnson make it to the playoffs?

Johnson will race in the “Drydene 311” NASCAR Cup Series races on Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23. The circuit holds “Drydene Doubleheader Weekend,” highlighting consecutive NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series races as he endeavors to add to his record Dover triumphs.

Jimmie Johnson’s famous No. 48 Chevrolet is getting another livery change for the rest of the 2020 season, his last full-time season before resigning.

Johnson will race with a white-based livery with Ally Financial’s purple and fuchsia colors. It is something contrary to the dark based look he’s generally had the last two seasons.

Jimmie Johnson is still attempting to meet all requirements for the 16-driver, 10-race playoffs. The playoffs start in September. To meet all requirements for a possibility at a record-breaking eighth title, he either needs to win one of the last four races or be among the main 16 drivers in the standings. Although, he is right now in the eighteenth position.
