Two Camping World Truck races have concluded, and Ben Rhodes has won both of them. Unfortunately, Sheldon Creed was not particularly fond of the manner in which Rhodes won. Admittedly, it took a while to confirm the winner, because of three overtime attempts.

“I’m gonna choose my words carefully for Sheldon,” Rhodes said. “I’m not exactly sure what he meant by that. The guy did try to run me on the straightaway, off the race track.

“We’re all slipping around out of control on the track. I didn’t total his truck, I don’t know what his problem is, but he can get over it.”

Meanwhile, Creed said, “I’ll remember that down the road when we’re racing hard again. He might be on the other end of that deal.”

When the chequered flag dropped, Ben Rhodes took the 5th win of his Truck Series career. Meanwhile, Creed ended his race in 2nd place, with John Hunter Nemechek trailing him in 3rd.

How did the race pan out for Ben Rhodes?

As it turned out, Nemechek took the win in the opening stage. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to sustain in Stage 2, because he was running low on fuel.

Luckily, he had enough juice to limp back to pit road and re-fuel, later using his free pass to come back on the lead lap during a caution. Behind Ben Rhodes, Sheldon Creed and John Hunter Nemechek, Todd Gilliland and Riley Herbst completed the Top-5.

At the front, the Rhodes-Creed duel was getting fierce. With 3 laps to go, Creed struck first and grabbed the lead, before Rhodes retaliated. The latter squeezed him onto the edge of the track, and a caution came out for an unrelated crash.

On the restart, Creed got loose and Rhodes barged past him. However, another caution flag flew, which no doubt annoyed many.

Luckily for Rhodes, he kept the lead on the second restart, while Nemechek slipped past Creed. Creed re-took 2nd and a third caution popped up, which was also the last of the night.
