Staying healthy comes with a cost right? That’s what some people think. You can’t eat the food you love. For Samantha Busch, it wasn’t exactly the case. She wasn’t a big fan of red meat. Except as it turns out, she had a change of heart and it’s evident in her social media posts.
Amidst the Christmas updates from the Busch house, Samantha Busch took a moment to appreciate the massive journey she’s embarked on ever since she began eating red meat.

In a recent Instagram story, she revealed that she changed her stance. In her story, she wrote, “I don’t even know who I am anymore. Spent 25 years not eating regular red meat, now I’m downing hearts and livers too.” A package of ground beef, beef liver, and heart accompanied this caption. It all started a few weeks ago with an unusual craving. While cooking steaks for the Busch family, Samantha noticed she wanted to eat red meat.
As some fans may know, Samantha Busch swore off red meat early on in her life, back when she was a child. While she continued to eat other meats such as chicken, red meat just wasn’t her cup of tea. And some doctors agreed with this. As Busch explained, contrary to warnings she received about eating red meat, she felt healthier. There were even improvements in her skin and overall well-being almost immediately.
Samantha emphasized this was one of the most important aspects of choosing your lifestyle. While there may always be recommendations about a healthy diet, she believes a person’s body knows what’s best for them, explaining it simply as, “Be your own advocate, keep digging, and figure it out until you feel the best version of yourself.” Additionally, she found it to be a great addition to her diet, especially when it came to dealing with an autoimmune disease, alopecia. Although the recommendations were for a less inflammatory diet, her switch to red meat was easy!
And so it began. Her carnivore craving became apparent during their trip to Las Vegas, when she gave in and had steak. It seems she hasn’t stopped ever since, opening up her food palette and trying different red meat dishes.
On Twitter, she even asked fans for their favorite recipes. Safe to say, many people were glad to welcome her back to the red meat-eating side. They sympathized with husband Kyle Busch for putting up with the absence of red meat after 25 years. Now, they believe that the Richard Childress Racing driver can rejoice once again with the change in diet. The more helpful fans quickly began throwing in popular meat-rich suggestions. This included meat with red wine sauce and Idaho potatoes, and brisket seasoned with salt and pepper.
While Samantha Busch makes success on personal fronts, it’s time for Kyle Busch to bring a big change for his next racing year.

To be honest, last season was a write-off for Kyle Busch, ending with no Playoff appearance. What made matters worse, 2024 also snapped an annual win streak that had been running for 19 years. As a result, Busch is going to come back more motivated than ever to try to redeem himself. He has gone for over 50 races without a win, with the last one coming halfway through 2023.
The veteran driver is already starting with a run in the Chili Bowl Nationals. From there, the #8 driver will likely use that race to build on his confidence and keep himself in shape. So when the 2025 NASCAR Cup season begins, he will hopefully start challenging for race wins in the future. Of course, participating in the Chili Bowl also has a different benefit, as the driver explained.

“The Cup season may be over, but the racing season is still in full swing with the biggest events on dirt taking place over the next couple of months. The Chili Bowl is a legendary event and has always been on my wish list. To be able to compete there, and then alongside my son Brexton at the Tulsa Shootout, is making this year one to remember.”
On the other end of the spectrum, his success also depends on Richard Childress Racing. The organization has not been a front-runner for a very long time. However, with the experience of Kyle Busch, there is hope on the horizon for some glory for the upcoming campaign. Of course, Samantha Busch and their two children Brexton and Lennix, will be keen to support their husband and father.
