“Infertility is literally classified as a disease, yet so many essential workers lack coverage,” Samantha Busch expressed in a recent Instagram story, highlighting the struggles faced by military personnel, first responders, and public school teachers. It seems her advocacy did not go unheard. In response to the concerns raised by the Busch couple, President Donald Trump took action, leading to the passage of a groundbreaking executive order.

With this new policy, couples battling infertility will now have access to IVF treatment. Having endured her journey with infertility for years, Samantha was deeply moved, celebrating this momentous step forward for families longing to grow.

The dream of expanding the Busch family has been a long and arduous journey. Though they always envisioned having a daughter, the road to baby number two has been filled with heartache, perseverance, and unwavering determination. For over eight years, the couple battled infertility. They faced the crushing disappointment of failed IVF cycles, a devastating miscarriage in 2018, and, most recently, the heartbreak of losing a seemingly healthy embryo through surrogacy. Their struggles tested their patience and put immense strain on their marriage. At one point, in the aftermath of Samantha’s miscarriage, their relationship became so strained that they even considered divorce.

However, things looked up and the couple welcomed their angel, Lennix Key Busch. Since then, the couple has been the strongest advocate for IVF. Speaking of how beneficial the executive order is, Samantha said, “You guys, it’s happening. I don’t know if you saw the post but the president just signed an executive order to help insurance companies pay for IVF. I can’t tell you over the last decade, how many essays I have read from deserving couples, hard-working families that wanted nothing more to be parents but finances stood in their way.”

She further added, “Myself along with so many other women and men across the country who have talked about infertility who finally it’s been recognized on a platform that people understand one in six couples will go through this….it is being recognized that infertility is a disease. And like other diseases out there, it deserves insurance coverage.”

Samantha Busch was already seen talking about the lack of IVF funds for veterans this month. So, President Donald Trump signing an executive order is like a breath of fresh air and prayers being answered too quickly! This move is aimed at expanding access to and reducing the cost of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other fertility treatments. The order directs domestic policy advisers to develop strategies for lowering IVF costs. It is applicable for both insured patients and those paying out of pocket. While it has no immediate effect, it marks a significant step in addressing the financial burden of infertility treatments.

With IVF costs ranging from $9,000 to $14,000 per cycle, many families struggle to afford the procedure. Trump had previously pledged government or insurance coverage for IVF and framed the move as a commitment to support families struggling with infertility. However, Republican divisions over funding and ethical concerns surrounding embryo destruction remain obstacles. The executive order gives the Domestic Policy Council 90 days to propose policy solutions. Many families and advocates view this as a hopeful step toward making fertility treatments more accessible.

The Busch couple has also been quite active in their initiatives to help those struggling with infertility. Their organization, the Samantha & Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, provides financial grants to in-need families undergoing IVF treatment at partnering clinics like Reach Fertility. Samantha has also shared her journey in her book Fighting Infertility, released six years after Brexton’s birth, offering hope and support to others navigating infertility. With the government now realizing that infertility is a disease that needs attention, it can be expected that couples will now more readily opt in for IVF treatment.

When Samantha opened up about her struggles with alopecia
