Back in 2016, when Chase Elliott was still bursting on the scene of NASCAR, when he wasn’t the superstar driver he is today, he made an appearance alongside former President Donald Trump in one of his rallies at Valdosta State University in Georgia.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver was alongside his father, Bill Elliott, who had been inducted into the Hall of Fame just a year prior.
In fact, Trump even made a funny remark about the father and son who endorsed him for being the President of the country, which he ended up becoming, eventually.

“Are you gonna be upset if he turns out greater than you Bill or are you gonna be happy?” Trump said, to which Elliott said he’d be “thrilled” if that turns out to be the case.
“That’s a good father,” Trump emphasized.
“I know a lot of fathers who have a son that becomes successful, they’re not happy,” he continued, “That’s a great father.”
Trump then welcomed Elliott as he said, “Chase Elliott, the hottest young driver in the world!”
