In a reply to the tweet, Donald Hawk reminisced about his own experience with the Earnhardt duo and said, “Took some expense checks & petty cash there. @DaleJr even picked up some purse money too…there was some weeks Gary wanted to come to the Deerhead shop office some he didn’t. Interesting & smart dude. He mostly came when your daddy was gonna be there, they hit it off well”
