Being a NASCAR driver is surely about nurturing talent, being one basic facet, ethereal in the world of motorsport. Being proficient in one’s own field will propel the individual to reach the pinnacle of the sport. But to reach that height, one quintessential thing required apart from talent, is sponsorship. At present, NASCAR’s first Arab-American female driver, Toni Breidinger is having her hardest time with sponsors.

The key to being a successful driver in any given format of NASCAR is sponsorship. This sponsorship provides a form of security and also financial backing to the driver and their endeavors. And without which, the dreams of being a racer would fall apart.

And the model turned racer seemed to point at the hard truth in her latest tweet.

Toni Breidinger’s nightmarish affair of sponsorship concerns

The basic functioning of NASCAR and other paraphernalia is sponsorships. Sponsors(brands) are often the ones who control the financial flow into the team as well as the drivers. To cite an instance and to hit the nail hard on the head, Kyle Busch left his team Joe Gibbs Racing after his primary sponsor withdrew its sponsorship from the driver.

And it seems NASCAR’s first Arab-American female driver also faced the brunt of the same cause as she failed to race in the ARCA Menards series at Mid-Ohio on July 7. The driver who races in a part-time format for Venturini Motorsports stated the sad state of affairs on Twitter as Toni Breidinger wrote, “bummed I’m not racing Mid-Ohio. but grateful I still have a few more ARCA races scheduled so looking forward to them.”

When asked by a fan as to the reasons for not racing in the series, where she stands 6th in the points standings, the Victoria’s Secret model replied, “didn’t have a sponsor or partner for this one.”

The race at ARCA Menards was nothing less than a nerve-wracking spectacle. While the 16-year-old Sean Hingorani from Venturini Motorsports achieved his maiden pole position, however, everything went for naught as he tried to shove his teammate Dean Thompson into the sand trap and eventually ended in the same spot as his teammate. Both drivers failed to complete the race at Mid-Ohio.
