President Steve Phelps on Next Gen for NASCAR Cup Series
In a recent interview with President Steve Phelps on NASCAR and its evolution in the last few years, he shed light on how valuable it is for growth. He explained how one needed to have a relationship with one of the five-race teams if one wanted to get into the sport. Phelps added that the raceablility of the car led to 19 different winners. Regarding the safety of the car, Steve Phelps said, “The car was designed with safety as the No. 1 priority for that car. That is something that was first and foremost into why that car was designed.”
