Kevin Harvick just can’t catch a break. Or should we say doesn’t want to catch a break? Earlier this year, he announced to race in Late Model Stock events. The NASCAR veteran co-owns CARS tour and recently had his debut Late Model race at the Nashville Super Speedway. The Veteran came in 13th in that race. Harvick had shared after the race how racing with the best in Late Model racing is what he wants to do.
At the Hickory Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick shared about how he’s glad to be part of the event. Good news for Harvick Fans! He revealed we will see a lot more of him in Late Model races in the future.

In January last year, NASCAR icons Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks announced their acquisition of the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour. It has been more than a year that they have owned the event. And they are having fun managing it as Harvick mentioned in an interview at the Hickory Motor Speedway. The recent Hickory race ended with Ronnie Bassett Jr taking the win. It’s his first-ever CARS Tour win.
At the event, Harvick talked about how he loves the CARS Tour as he feels it is just the place to be. He said in an interview with Frontstretch, “I’m really just proud to be a part of it. I think when you look at short track racing right now Late Model Stock series and the cars tour is really a place to be and we owe that a lot to our competitors and then showing up week after week putting on races like we’ve seen this year is just been incredible.”
According to Harvick, the sheer number of people who show up for the CARS Tour is inspiring for him. It’s his first time owning a racing event. Where it is fun, it comes with a responsibility for everything to go smoothly. Reiterating this, he said, “When you see this type of enthusiasm and you see the amount of people that show up to watch and race. It’s just great to be a part of it. For us, we talk all the time about not screwing it up. That really is our main focus.”
However, Harvick is having fun becoming a Late Model racer. In his ‘Happy Hour’ podcast, he talked about the experience. He’s taking it very seriously as he’s fighting the top guys in the game. On the same lines, he said, “You’re racing against the best of the best super Late model guys in the country. They can go anywhere in the country, that group of guys, and win races.” According to Harvick, racing the best is part of his plan to get better at the game. The debutant does not just want to try a different form of racing, but also wants to get good at it. There is good news for all the Harvick fans as he’s planning on a long Late Model racing career.

Only recently we saw the NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick testing at North Wilkesboro Speedway. He seemed all set for the CARS Tour race scheduled on August 3rd. After the testing session, Harvick talked about how he was trying to get used to the car. For the first-timer, North Wilkesboro is only the start for Harvick as he talked about doing many races in the near future.
Further in the interview, he said, “I’m going to race 12 or 14 times next year and we’ll kind of just meander around the country and face where it fits and where we can have fun and whenever Kean can you know be a part of it. Where our teams can be a part of it.We’ll race from California to North Carolina next year and we’ll race a few more times this year.”

This is not where he intends to stop. When asked about the rumor of him racing in the ARCA next year. He hinted at doing it when he said, “At some point, I am going to race a few times in ARCA next year, so we just have to see what the events are. ” What’s the guarantee he will stop there?
