Bubba Wallace has been under fire ever since the Kyle Larson fiasco in Las Vegas. He hooked the Hendrick Motorsports, and since then he was suspended from participating in Homestead-Miami. But Wallace didn’t stop there, he dropped another major bomb on the community, attracting more hate. Yet, Brett Griffin defended him.

And he took Kyle Busch’s example to explain that, too.

The 23XI Racing driver turned down the NASCAR Hub meeting after the incident. Surprisingly, NASCAR spotter, Brett Griffin defended his move in a recent episode of ‘Door, Bumper, Clear’.

Griffin explained, “He has never been in a fishbowl like he’s about to be. And I know he had that thing a few years ago that was very challenging to him and he handled it, in my opinion well. Given the facts Steve Phelps presented him, and obviously, everyone surrounded him and gave him nothing but love inside of the garage.”

“This is the opposite. It’s gonna be hard to manage this. And I said last week before he was suspended that he’s gotta make peace with this. I’ve seen guys completely collapse in situations like this and it takes them a year to get over this.”

He even took Kyle Busch’s example to describe the most awkward moment he has seen this year. He said, “The most awkward moment that I’ve seen all year was the RCR-Kyle Busch announcement”, “I do events for a living and I was like, ‘ wow, I hope I never done one this bad.’ but anyway”, “And I think the second [most] awkward moment is gonna be when Bubba Wallace walks through his garage. And it’s gonna be all eyes on you man.”

Kyle Petty just wasn’t happy with this, “Silence sometimes say more than the words that are written. And so far we have heard nothing from Bubba Wallace since this incident happened. we have heard nothing publicly until yesterday Denny Hamlin finally spoke up. And kudos to Denny Hamlin for speaking on behalf of 23XI.”

He even went as far as to say, “But the silence from that camp has been deafening”
