NASCAR great Jimmie Johnson‘s Legacy Motor Club has so far had a weak romance, with both of the drivers miserably failing despite their golden opportunity to be a part of the legend’s Cup Series vision. While the news of Johnson parting ways with Chevrolet—a brand he represented throughout his career and won seven championships with—shocked the racing world, in the latest news, JJ has yet again delivered another massive blow, stunning the community.

With the #42 and #43 Chevrolets of Noah Gragson and Erik Jones shifting to Toyota next year, Johnson has yet again shocked the NASCAR nation, suspending the rookie sensation over his allegedly problematic stance on social media.

Noah Gragson certainly is a unique individual—young, fierce, and ballsy—someone NASCAR was on the lookout for. His on-track antics, from his Truck Series days to his recent fistfight with Ross Chastain, have catapulted his popularity, despite this being his first-ever Cup Series season.

Unfortunately for the rookie sensation, after getting rocked by the Trackhouse Racing star after he delivered a picture-perfect right hook, his own boss, JJ, has delivered the final knockout blow, sealing the deal. Coming to the latest happenings, the Legacy Motor Club squad has suspended the youngster from the seat of the #42 Chevy with immediate effect, citing his actions as not aligning with the team’s moral values.

The #42 driver will miss his Cup Series race at Michigan, where his car will be piloted by the super sub, Josh Berry. Gragson, who was already at the bottom, at the 33rd spot in the rankings, has now hit rock bottom with his team delivering the knockout blow. While the 2023 season so far has been nothing but a bad dream for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship runner-up, the team’s stiff action has him further down the drain, essentially ending his dream Cup Series run.

And guess what is causing all the smoke? The youngster’s social media activity!

Despite this being his breakout year in NASCAR’s elite division, rookie sensation Noah Gragson’s fairytale has now turned into a creeping nightmare for the youngster. Gragson has been suspended from Legacy Motor Club following a screenshot highlighting the driver’s peculiar social media activity.

While the 25-year-old has captivated the community with his antics, even earning the praise of veteran driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., it looks like the youngster needs to be careful. And that’s exactly what his boss, Johnson, had in mind when he suspended him over a “like.” Fronstretch writer, Daniel McFadin was the first to highlight the matter, tweeting out a screenshot of a meme liked by Gragson that allegedly shames George Floyd.

With the team prancing into action, NASCAR took cognizance as well. As per Autosport.com, NASCAR’s statement following the controversy was, “NASCAR fully supports Legacy Motor Club’s decision to suspend Noah Gragson. Following his actions on social media, NASCAR has determined that Gragson has violated the Member Conduct section of the 2023 NASCAR Rule Book and has placed him under indefinite suspension.”

Gragson was quick to take responsibility for his lack of judgment and tweeted, “I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media. I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate everyone. I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up plain and simple.”
