Earlier this year, Mars, Incorporated dropped a massive bombshell. At the end of the 2022 Cup Series season, they will be leaving the sport entirely. This left Kyle Busch without a primary sponsor and scrambling for a racing seat. Finally, after months of hunting, Busch has finally landed a seat at Richard Childress Racing.

As for Mars Inc. they are preparing for life away from the NASCAR arena. To this end, they will be partnering with NHL team, the Philadelphia Flyers, and Wells Fargo Center.

It is also worth mentioning that the brand is signing on as an official partner. Without a doubt, it will be a great deal for them and the Flyers will get a lot of exposure.

What next for Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Cup Series?

Unfortunately for Busch, his quest for a third Cup Series title is over. This is because he has been eliminated after the first round of the Playoffs. Also joining him on the sidelines are Kevin Harvick, Austin Dillon, and Tyler Reddick. Incidentally, there is one thing that connects all four of them: they are all former, current, and future RCR drivers.

Although Kyle Busch is taking over Reddick’s #8 seat, there is talk of the team fielding a third car for Reddick. This will probably tide him over for the upcoming season until he makes his own switch to the 23XI Racing team for 2024.
