The Bristol Motor Speedway is among the smallest race tracks of NASCAR. This makes the half-mile circuit tough to contend with, given the tight, close-knit races that unfold on it. However, legends will always overcome hurdles. Denny Hamlin holds three Bristol victories under his name along with 10 top-fives and 17 top-tens. Now, in 2024, he is all set to rock the Tennessee race.
Hamlin’s team released a snazzy new look of the No. 11 car ahead of the Bristol race weekend. Bathed in a rich blue shade, the car has sent off a whirlwind of speculation among fans on social media. Some are drawing parallels to a former NASCAR legend’s ride.

Joe Gibbs Racing recently posted the Mavis Express Oil Change scheme of the No. 11 car on X. And as rightly pointed out by some fans, it harkens back to the No. 32 Nestle Crunch car that Dale Jarrett drove. The three-time Daytona 500 winner wielded the wheel of this ride from 1990-91 in the Xfinity Series (the then Busch Series).

Fans commented about the stark resemblance, saying, “Dale Jarrett #32 Crunch vibes”. To which a fan replied, “That was my first thought! I like it a lot.” Another fan replied with the iconic Dale Jarrett picture, “The hood be rockin that nestle crunch look”.

Other fans appreciated the old-school vibes that the Mavis brand was striving to bring. “I kinda love it. I don’t know how many more divisions of Mavis there are or how many times they will run each scheme but it brings back cool memories at least.” Another fan said, “I like the diffrent retro themed schemes that Mavis is doing.”
In January, Mavis Tires and Brakes became the primary sponsor of Denny Hamlin’s Toyota Camry XSE for eight NASCAR Cup Series races in 2024. “We are thrilled to team up with Joe Gibbs Racing and Denny Hamlin again this year for what promises to be an exciting 2024 racing season,” said David Sorbaro, Mavis co-CEO. “This union with NASCAR continues to be a perfect fit.”
Mavis had joined JGR last season as well, sponsoring the No. 11 team. “Our partnership with Mavis has been great for both sides. Last season, we had a ton of success in the Mavis colors,” said Hamlin. “I’m looking forward to what we can do together this year.”
Denny Hamlin is all set to rock his new colors at Bristol Motor Speedway. He is also harboring a positive outlook regarding Bristol’s revamped track.

In 2021, the Bristol Motor Speedway was converted into a dirt track. It was hoped that the .0533-mile bullring covered in red Tennessee clay would hike attendance and television ratings. However, drivers were tired of the gimmick after three years, and NASCAR finally decided last year to return to the concrete track. In the upcoming race this weekend, racers will get to compete on concrete in Bristol again.
Denny Hamlin expressed a load of positivity regarding this transition, saying, “The Bristol race itself; it doesn’t matter if it’s the day or the night, always seems to put on a great show. As a purist, I love seeing this race back on concrete. Obviously, as the last guy that won there, it’s going to be good to go back there and kind of test what this car wants compared to what we had in the past. We’re going to have to tweak on it, but we feel like we have a good base setup with what we had last year.”
