Perhaps it is this year, much more than the years in recent memory, that Denny Hamlin has been facing consistent criticism for his performances and lack of wins. He is sitting 10th in the point standings with two finishes outside the top 20, five finishes inside it, and three inside the top 10.
As a matter of fact, this is his worst season in the last five years in terms of finishes at this point of the year. Come to think of it, his season has been somewhat better than his 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace.
Because Wallace has had six finishes outside the top 20, two inside it, and two inside the top 10.

But still, Hamlin is pretty confident ahead of the delayed race at Dover International Speedway.
Denny Hamlin shares why Denny Hamlin has the best chance of winning at Dover
As the rain postponed the Cup race at Dover Motor Speedway to Monday, Denny Hamlin shared a statistic with which he not only communicated the idea that he’s a favorite to win, but that his doubters shouldn’t really, well, doubt him.
Hamlin posted the list of “Active NASCAR drivers wins tally on a Monday”—a list which he tops with 4 wins. Next to the Joe Gibbs Racing veteran is Joey Logano with 3 wins, followed by his teammate Ryan Blaney with 2 wins.
And of course, the list had a famous meme of Hasbulla which proves Hamlin is feeling pretty good about his chances on Monday.
