Yet to find himself a Cup Series championship, Denny Hamlin’s journey on the tracks of NASCAR has been an up-and-down ride. Coincidentally, the same can be said of his journey outside the track too. Starting in 2010, his long-term relationship with Jordan Fish has lasted for over a decade but not without the trying test of time and faith. Surviving through the many issues and setbacks, the couple’s story is something that still has a lot of veils.
Now, as fans got to see on her Instagram stories, this past weekend at The Charlotte Roval unveiled intriguing scenes of Fish spending her time with 23-year-old Armando Bacot, a potential NBA superstar.

Jordan Fish enjoys the race at the Charlotte Roval in the presence of promising NBA prospect
This past weekend’s race at the Charlotte Roval was a crucial one for all the drivers in contention for a seat in the 2023 season’s playoff 8. Racing through the 109 laps of the 2.32-mile circuit, Kaulig Racing’s A. J. Allmendinger took home the honors of the win. 4 drivers, including 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace, were eliminated from the championship run at the end of the race. As for Denny Hamlin himself, he was able to break through to the next stage despite not finishing the race. Solid stage points from previous tracks gave him enough to advance as the day ended bittersweet for Michael Jordan’s business partner.
One surprise visitor to the garages of 23XI Racing during the event was Armando Bacot. The youngster is a college basketball player who currently shoots for the North Carolina Tar Heels wearing the infamous Air Jordan 37. Revealing his presence at the Roval, 23XI’s social media team shared a video of Bacot enjoying the race, along with an image that had been clicked of him and Jordan Fish.
The story read, “Armando watching the jumpan [jumpman] fly”. Reposting the story on his own handle, Bacot also shared a video that he’d shot of a 23XI Racing’s pit crew at work.
Jordan Fish also re-shared a story on her Instagram where she can be seen alongside the 6 ft 11 basket baller and a few of her friends.

Since his debut in the Cup Series, Hamlin has proven himself to be an unformidable force behind the wheel. Though he has conquered all the challenges that the tracks in America pose to a driver, the Cup Series championship has always eluded him. In 2023, the driver stands with another great opportunity to fill this gap. But adding to the hurdles in front of him is not only his no-so-good image among the fans but also his relationship with Jordan Fish. It is well-known that Hamlin is a very doting father of two daughters and uses his personal life to escape the harshness of his profession.
Though he has cleared entry to the round of 8 after Charlotte, his position is not the most ideal. The driver will be heading to Las Vegas for his first race in the 3rd stage of the playoffs. Talking to the media after his race ended, he sounded rather optimistic and positive given the circumstances. He said, as reported by frontstretch.com, “We’re certainly good enough and all the tracks are good for us. We’ve already shifted our focus towards that and this is a kind of a get through it this week type of scenario. So I feel very optimistic to go to next week and contend.”
It will surely be interesting to watch if the Joe Gibbs Racing star makes it to the season finale at Phoenix in the next few weeks. Regardless of their differences and lows, Fish has always remained an unwavering supporter of Hamlin’s NASCAR career. A continual of the same could possibly a go long way in increasing Hamlin’s chances of clinching his first championship.
