Another race, another collision involving a certain Ross Chastain. This time, the victim was Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch, who ended the race in 9th. Naturally, it created a caution, and crew chief Chris Gabehart told Denny Hamlin that the cause was their old friend Chastain.
It is safe to say that Hamlin has a bit of a grudge against Chastain.

This is largely because the Trackhouse Racing driver has clashed with him on multiple occasions this year. Gabehart was particularly sarcastic with his radio report, as Chastain has been a thorn in his driver’s side.
The crew chief said, “The latest caution is brought to you by Ross Chastain.”
Admittedly, Hamlin did not give a response to Gabehart’s observation. Instead, he simply put his head down and charged to eventually finish in fourth place.
How did the race go for Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin?
For the #1 Trackhouse Racing driver, it was a relatively decent initial run. This was because he managed to win the opening stage, ahead of Hamlin, Kyle Larson, and Brad Keselowski.

In Stage 2, Hamlin was 3rd, behind Joey Logano and Kyle Larson. The drama between Kyle Busch and Ross Chastain kicked off, 10 laps after the start of stage three. During a restart, the #18 driver was on the outside of Chastain but got spun around.
For his part, the Trackhouse driver got a taste of his own medicine, when Erik Jones spun him around as well. Finally, after the 400 laps were complete, Hamlin was in excellent fourth place. Busch managed to sneak into the Top 10, with 9th place, while Chastain ended his race in a lowly 18th place.

At the front of the field, Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick snatched his second consecutive win. This triumph came on the back of his race win at the Michigan International Speedway. Behind Harvick were a delighted Christopher Bell and Chris Buescher in 2nd and 3rd place.
Hamlin and Chase Elliott rounded out the Top 5, ahead of Logano, Martin Truex Jr, Aric Almirola, Busch, and Ryan Blaney.
