Being a content creator in today’s highly competitive world is not an easy task. One has to be on their toes at all times, keeping up with the latest ins and outs of their genre. In this respect, Denny Hamlin has a massive advantage. Being the host of a NASCAR podcast certainly helps when one is a NASCAR driver. Another thing that is extremely important is equipment and while Denny spares no expense in making sure his fans get the best content, it is time for one of his associates to do the same.

Apart from being one of the most experienced drivers in the Cup Series today, Denny Hamlin is a lot of things. He is the host of the very successful Actions Detrimental podcast and he is also the co-owner of a successful racing team in the Cup Series, 23XI Racing. His partner in that is the legendary NBA personality, Michael Jordan.

Hamlin’s Actions Detrimental podcast is one of the most successful motorsports podcasts in the world today. There are many reasons for this. Firstly, Hamlin is a Cup Series driver himself, therefore the insight he provides to the fans comes straight from the track. Secondly, it is a production of Dirty Mo Media which is renowned among those who follow NASCAR.

Hamlin’s not alone, however. He has brought several guests on his show over the course of the podcast from the world of NASCAR. Even when he is not bringing in guests, he has one of the closest and most trusted people with him every single episode, helping him all the way through in Jared Allen.

His work with Denny isn’t restricted just to the podcasting space either. Allen accompanies his friend to every single race weekend and one of his jobs is taking pictures and videos of Hamlin and others over the course of the three days.

So when Allen did not show up last weekend (except for Sunday) due to a wedding, Hamlin was left alone and he expressed how much he missed his friend taking his pictures at the race track.

“We missed your photos of me on your iPhone 10. In case you don’t know, Jared, he does a lot of his work on his camera phone,” Hamlin said.

Hamlin went on to say that he recently switched from his iPhone 11 to one of the latest models of the company, an iPhone 15 plus. This is when Jared Allen revealed that he will soon invest in one of the latest iPhone models, which will definitely help him in his media work with the #11 driver.

“It’s a 12 but it’ll soon be that 15 pro max,” Allen said when he was asked about his phone by Denny Hamlin.

While all this is fun and games for Hamlin, there is one thing about him that has stood out this year and that is how good and consistent he has been on the race track. Ever since the playoffs began, the #11 driver has been unstoppable. But at Texas, he was not one who was challenging for the win.

The Texas race was chaotic, to say the least with as many as 10 cars failing to take the checkered flag. From tire issues to mechanical failures to crashes, the race saw everything. According to Denny Hamlin, the mile-and-a-half track was a tough one to race on in the Next Gens.

It’s just a tough track. When SMI reconfigured this thing, we just swung and missed on it for sure so I don’t know what you do with it. The Next-Gen car is really great on all other mile and a half, it’s just this one. There’s just no tire falloff,” the Joe Gibbs Racing driver said.

“I did the tire test but Goodyear is always going to choose the most durable tire they can to not blow out and when you have that, you’re not gonna have any falloff then you’re gonna have guys with old tires go out there and win,” he added.

Despite not winning, Hamlin did manage to finish in a decent P5 position which keeps him in second place on the driver’s table, 37 points ahead of the cut line. He just needs two clean races at Talladega and Charlotte, which, let’s be honest, he most likely will.
