Dale Earnhardt Jr is a true legend, excelling not only in the field of racing but also business. He is the proud owner of JR Motorsports, a highly successful Xfinity team. It’s worth noting that several drivers from JRM have successfully transitioned into the Cup series, benefiting from the support of this racing icon. Notable names on this list include William Byron, Noah Gragson, Chase Elliott, and most recently Josh Berry.

It was Stewart-Haas Racing that recognized the talent of Josh Berry and brought him on board. Tony Stewart, himself a racing legend, commended Dale Earnhardt Jr for his role in nurturing and developing exceptional drivers like Josh Berry. Adding to that, Denny Hamlin also emphasized the need for Dale Jr to expand his racing team into the Cup series.

Over the years, JRM (JR Motorsports) and its owner have produced a number of successful drivers. In addition to JRM, Dale Jr has ventured into running his own media house called “Dirty Mo Media,” which features several popular podcasts. One of these podcasts is “Actions Detrimental,” which is hosted by Denny Hamlin. On the podcast, Hamlin recently spoke about his desire for JRM to expand into the Cup series as well.

Hamlin acknowledged, “Ten drivers have gone through their stable to go to Cup and he [Dale Jr] mention that he understands his role as an Xfinity owner as a stepping stone to Cup.”

He used his own team, 23XI, as an example, expressing his enjoyment when drivers start with his team and eventually secure positions with other prominent teams. In light of this, Hamlin advised Dale Jr to consider this and make his presence felt in a Cup team as well.

Expressing his wish, Hamlin stated, “It would be great to see him to get in Cup, I’d like to see JRM make their way to Cup. (…)I know he is trying sort of I think he is going to have to pony up more than he is wanting to do it (…) and obviously he is great for the sport, I only say he is great because he is my boss.”

As things stand, Hamlin has got the Kansas race win under his belt that makes him eligible for the Playoffs. However, it seems that the JGR driver is not backing off from contesting for more wins. In the last race at Nashville, he came in at an impressive 3rd. He talked about it in the press conference and revealed why his car was not sufficient to win the race at Nashville.

Hamlin made his point by saying, “The field is so close, everyone is running the same time. It’s really hard to get a track position. I think we really had a third-place car. The entire race I thought the 19 was better. The 1 obviously came on strong there at the end. It’s all we had with our FedEx Toyota.”

“This is not the (indiscernible) day, it was a day with no mistakes. We gave ourselves a chance. Didn’t have quite a fast enough car to go and contend.”
