It’s not just revved-up engines that create the loudest roars on NASCAR tracks. Mammoth sponsorship deals and strategic partnerships among teams also make ripples. Two weeks earlier, it was Anheuser-Busch’s deal with Trackhouse Racing, and now it’s an out-of-the-blue multi-million dollar deal that NASCAR has confirmed.

This was the topic at hand as Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen sat down recently to discuss the game-changing $805-million deal between NASCAR and the CW Network for the exclusive broadcasting rights of the Xfinity Series. The agreement, set to run from 2025 to 2031, will see all 33 Xfinity races broadcasted on free, over-the-air television. However, the involvement of Amazon could potentially play a key role in this monumental deal.

As the news broke about the CW Network becoming the exclusive home of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Jared Allen and the JGR veteran Denny Hamlin provided intriguing insights into the details of the potential $805 million deal. With NASCAR likely to be involved in production, they will have the opportunity to offer this production expertise to potential partners, like Amazon, who may wish to bid on the sport for broadcasting rights. By establishing itself as an all-inclusive package. NASCAR aims to entice potential partners by handling the production costs and making the Xfinity Series a highly attractive investment.

While discussing the new deal between NASCAR and CW, here’s how the conversation went down on the podcast.

“Immediately when we saw this. Cup car owners are like, alright, let’s try to do the math. Let’s try to figure it out,” said Hamlin. “What’s in this deal, what’s not in this deal? How does it relate to the current deal? The information I gathered from the sources I have is like. It’s… what it was was $75 million-ish, and then you go to $115 million. What’s not included though in that $115 million is that NASCAR is going to produce the Xfinity series.”

“So likely they’ll be producing it out of Charlotte, wherever the race is,” he continued. “They won’t be traveling a whole lot of people, and NASCAR will then charge back whatever the production cost is to them, to produce this to CW.”

“So, they’re setting themselves up to be all-inclusive. Hey you, wanna bid on our sport? We can help produce the sport, you don’t have to put that cost in. I guess the only thing to discuss really is what is the production cost.” Hamlin concluded.

The significance of the NASCAR Xfinity Series deal with the CW Network has been appreciated and backed up by both CW and NASCAR’s Officials since it came to light.
