Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch have been teammates for 15 long years and many would think they would consider each other to be their favorite teammates, right? Well, Hamlin certainly does not think so. The 23XI Racing co-owner recently revealed who he thought to be considered his favorite teammate of all time while speaking on Danica Patrick’s podcast.

Hamlin said, “I think about this often, and it’s probably Matt Kenseth, just because, Matt was just such a nice guy, such a fair teammate. Honestly, when I think about how fair are my teammates on track, Kyle Busch is actually one of the most fair drivers on the racetrack that I raced around for you know 15 years that we were teammates.”
“So, he’s always been super respectful, we’ve had our run-ins of course like most guys do eventually. I never had one with Matt, he just you know great guy. He’s someone, I don’t mean to age map, but it’s someone that I looked up to when I was coming through the ranks. He was a quiet guy but he got the job done and so I really liked his style of driving and who he was on and off the track.”

During the same podcast, Patrick went on to ask Hamlin to state who his least favorite teammate was in all these years.
Deny mentioned that he did not actually resent anyone, but maintained that he went along well with almost all of his teammates. However, he did mention the toughest guy he had to gel with and chose Carl Edwards. Admittedly, Hamlin still did not state anything foul about Edwards, rather stating that he was a completely different person when compared to Hamlin himself.
