2020 could be one of the final best seasons for Denny Hamlin. Considering that he has only won three races since 2020. On the other hand, he won seven races in 2020. Although, he could have had eight wins in 2020 if it weren’t for one incident.
And, this incident saw him lose a race he had almost won.
Hamlin‘s #11 Toyota Camry was heading to the finish line of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis. However, with seven laps to go, the driver had a right front failure, and hit the wall hard, taking him out of the race entirely.

Unfortunately, with the win at arm’s length, the driver lost it all. Although, that left the path clear for Kevin Harvick, almost handing the win to him. And, the 23XI Racing Co-Owner feels he’s a deserving winner but is still heartbroken about the loss as he expresses it in a tweet.

Denny Hamlin has had just three wins since his 2020 season. However, two of those wins are from the 2022 season. So, could Hamlin be looking at a 2022 season being better than 2021?

Denny Hamlin Is Not Optimistic About This Season
This season hasn’t been too bad for Denny Hamlin. He’s already won two races, putting him 5th in the standings. But, the cars this season are very new, and Hamlin is pessimistic clearly about the future.
The Co-Owner of 23XI Racing talked about the unpredictability of the next-gen cars. Moreover, he seems certain about the fact that there are more crashes to come in conversation with RacingSpaces.

Denny Hamlin says the Next Gen shifts different, drives different completely and SIM doesn’t adequately mirror the actual car so practice time is essential. “This thing is an entirely different machine,” he tells @RacingSpaces. “There will certainly be more wrecks, no question.”
