The late great Dale Earnhardt once said, “Cheer you, boo you, it doesn’t matter as long as they’re making noise.” And it seems like, Denny Hamlin lives by those words, competing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Out of all the race car drivers in the garage, without a doubt, he is the one who often stirs up excitement and controversy.
While the fans might not appreciate Hamlin’s outspoken and charismatic character. Dale Earnhardt Jr. thinks he is the most exciting personality in the modern era of NASCAR racing.

Hamlin has often been on the bitter end of the flak thrown at him by the NASCAR fandom. While some other drivers could fold or be discouraged by such a treatment, but it seems to fuel Hamlin’s drive to be a better driver. From one-liners such as ‘I beat your favorite driver’ to beefing with top NASCAR officials, Hamlin has done it all.
No wonder he is bestowed the title of NASCAR’s villain, thanks to his unapologetic nature. However, despite the controversies, there’s no denying that he is passionate about NASCAR and does his bit to elevate the sport. Even if it takes him to be painted as the bad guy, his contribution to the sport hasn’t gone unnoticed, as Dale Jr labeled him as the most interesting personality.
“Alright, I’m going to say it’s Denny Hamlin. Well, he’s got good zingers, one-liners. He pushes people around. It’s good. I mean, he creates a lot of problems, so it’s a lot of fun for me as a broadcaster.” Dale Earnhardt Jr said this in a quick Q&A session via SiriusXM NASCAR’s Instagram handle.

While there was a new winner of the season last weekend at Gateway Park, the JGR driver continued his hot run of form with a runner-up finish, just behind Austin Cindric. This was his fifth consecutive top 5 finish that started with his win at Dover Motor Speedway. Moreover, with three wins already under the bag, the driver will now hope to secure the regular season champion title. And bag those crucial 15 playoff points.
Speaking of drivers churning out consistent results, Brad Keselowski is another one who has been on a hot streak. A P3 finish last weekend was his third consecutive top 5 result, and with a playoff seat secured, he has made a huge turnaround from his last season’s run. If you had to place a bet on a Ford driver to win the championship, Keselowski’s pick would be the preferred choice.
