Denny Hamlin’s IKEA goof goes viral!

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin is currently enjoying his off-season with his family. His fiancé Jordan Fish often shares glimpses of their off-track moments. Amid the ongoing festive celebrations, Fish shared a video of Hamlin doing daddy duties. Fish revealed how Hamlin was having a fun moment with their seven-year-old daughter Molly in Ikea.

In the video, Hamlin was seen riding a shopping cart along with Molly. As soon as Fish shared the cute father-daughter video Hamlin came to defend his antics. Sharing the video, Hamlin said, “I like to have fun.” His five-word defense reveals how Hamlin’s inner child took over him while he was with his daughter. It’s not the only time Hamlin and his daughter have melted fans’ hearts on social media.

Earlier this year also Hamlin along with Molly, Jordan, and Austin Hill went fishing in Florida. However, Hamlin revealed that Molly had most of the fun as she was more interested in live bait than fish. The moment was just another instance of Hamlin’s adorable moments with his children. What was more important was that his time with the family, particularly his children, served as a great way of stepping away from the high-stakes world of NASCAR. The fishing trip in question was right before the Homestead-Miami playoffs race.

More recently, Hamlin’s fiancee and his daughter embraced the holiday spirit of Christmas. Molly helped Fish set up the Christmas decorations, with Fish aptly naming her a little “elf”. In the video Fish shared on Instagram, fans could see Molly pick out red ornaments, turning into one of Santa’s little helpers who made Christmas special in the Hamlin household. It’s worth noting that Hamlin’s love for his children is well-known. He has occasionally admitted that he loves to take care of his daughters. “Hopefully the oldest one doesn’t bring any of the bad habits with the youngest one. But they’re fun. I mean, they’re a lot of fun. I enjoy every day, taking care of them and kind of raising them, and their mom is doing a great job as well.”

Despite being one of the biggest superstars of American Racing Hamlin often goes to drop and pick his daughters from their school. He also takes time to share their childhood, which often shows a much different persona from his on-track antics.

Can Denny Hamlin balance his family life with the mounting pressures of 23XI Racing's legal battles?

Trouble continues to mount for Hamlin’s 23XI

Amid the Christmas celebrations, Denny Hamlin’s 23XI continues to fight against the NASCAR and the French family. Months after the anti-trust lawsuit, things remain unclear for 23XI. In a recent court hearing, Judge Kenneth Bell changed his initial judgment and didn’t allow 23XI to have a third charter. Meanwhile, another petitioner, Front Row Motorsports, was allowed to get a preliminary injunction with three charters.

Speaking about it Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass said, “The judge issued his opinion and opted to tweak the injunction, ruling that because 23XI had not asked for its charter transfer to be approved as part of its initial injunction request (23XI had not gotten a formal denial at that time), he would remove that from the injunction order he issued last week – but the judge will allow 23XI to ask for the court-ordered approval in a separate motion.”

It’s worth noting that alongside Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace 23XI Racing had decided to field Riley Herbst as their third driver. If the judge allows Herbst will drive the No. 35 Toyota charter obtained from Stewart-Haas Racing. However, NASCAR remains against the ruling and is looking to challenge the verdict. Last week, the sanctioning body called out the ‘charter understandings’ of the new judge.
