With the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs in full swing, attention will slowly turn to 2023. This will clearly ring alarm bells for Kyle Busch as he scrambles for a racing seat, and teammate Denny Hamlin is not helping.
With M&M’s leaving at the end of the season, he is desperately searching for a primary sponsor to keep him at Joe Gibbs Racing. In the event that it does not work out, Busch will have to seek other pastures, and one of them could be 23XI Racing.
Asked Denny Hamlin if he felt 23XI still had any chance at landing Kyle Busch or if that ship had sailed. His answer: "I'm not really sure." … Hamlin later said that Kurt Busch is in 45 next year (and later this year if he is OK to come back) until KuBusch says otherwise.

The 2-year-old outfit has crept into the conversation quite recently.
This is largely thanks to his older brother Kurt Busch, who is currently out of action, as he recovers from a concussion. So, one would think that it makes perfect sense to swap one Busch for another.
However, 23XI Racing co-owner and Busch’s teammate Denny Hamlin has dealt a massive blow. He told the media, “We plan on (Kurt Busch) running unless he tells y’all otherwise.”

Where will Kyle Busch race in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season?
This is honestly a very difficult question to answer because there are so many factors. First and foremost, Busch will be eager to stick with Joe Gibbs Racing for as long as possible. He has been with the organization since 2008 and brought them two Cup Series titles in 2015 and 2019.

23XI Racing makes sense because they are affiliated with Toyota, and Busch’s truck team also runs Toyotas. However, there may be other candidates who are trying to sink their claws into the 37-year-old. Among them, there are teams like Stewart-Haas Racing, Kaulig Racing, and even Richard Childress Racing, among others.

Over the past couple of months, Busch has been stalling and stalling the announcements. At one point, he hilariously hosted a press conference just to say, “I have an announcement. There is no announcement.”
