Only days after her fiancé Denny Hamlin finished P5 in the rain-shortened 2024 Coke 600, Jordan Fish will return to race the Better Half Dash in its second consecutive year at Trackhouse Motorplex. Jordan has raced twice in this event organized by the Motor Racing Outreach. A non-profit organization that has been “serving the world of motorsports since 1988,” according to their official social media channels.

Her first appearance came forth back in 2014 when she placed P7. The following year Denny Hamlin’s better half ‘dashed’ her way over to a P4 finish with her partner keeping overwatch. This year on May 29th, the duo will return to face 11 ‘better halves’ of NASCAR drivers past & present, in a go-kart race with a $10,000 charity cash prize. And only days before Jordan takes to the track, Denny has taken to his podcast to enrich their charismatic advances with some good-natured banter.

This annual race has allegedly raised well over 350,000 dollars to benefit 50+ NPOs since its first running as a Bandoleros event at Charlotte Motor Speedway alongside NASCAR race weekends in 2011. That year David Ragan’s wife Jacquelyn won the grand prize with her then-boyfriend coaching from the sidelines leading 8 out of 25 laps.

This year, Jordan & Denny will be looking to do the same & even better when the green flag drops at 6:30 PM ET. But adding to their often hilarious exchanges enthralling fans across social media, like that time Jordan playfully mocked her fiance after their engagement on the first of January this year. To announce the developments brimming inside the Hamlin household, Jordan posted a carousel of pictures on Instagram captioned, “Rings DH 0, Jordan 1.” Certainly, Taylor and Molly’s parents possess a relatable sense of humor.

Nevertheless, now they gear up for a charitable advance. And talking to his co-host Jared Allen about Jordan’s preparations throughout the week prior, on the latest episode of Actions Detrimental Denny would inform fans, “She did great (last week)…”

But rains seemed to affect even his significant other in the wider background of rains in North Carolina. Hamlin explained, “So she’s on me all day. This is the end of last week. She’s like ‘We gotta go,’ and I’m like ‘Jordan it’s pouring rain.’ It was one of the days when it just poured all day. I’m not going out there in the rain. She says, ‘Well these other girls have already gotten practice, and like look, there’s a window. It’s not going to rain from five to eight. I’m like ‘Jordan, if it stops raining at five, think about how long it takes to dry a NASCAR track. They don’t have jet dryers. I’m not going out there in the wet.’”

Regardless, Jordan eventually convinced Denny to help her practice on a “halfway dry” track which her partner believed were the “worst conditions possible” for a demonstration session. The #11 then claims to have guided Jordan to better her brake and release via hand signals, while driving in front of Jordan’s go-kart, only to find out young Toyota Racing Development drivers such as Corey Heim, who Hamlin named in person, were present on-track for undisclosed reasons.

Hamlin would elaborate, “All I want to do is go out there and race and compete against Corey and these other people. And I’m driving around there going slow doing these hand signals. It’s just so painful because I’m like, I just want to go. I just want to go….”

But now Jordan will prepare to go and fast that too, as the 2024 MRO Better Half Dash gets ready to heat Trackhouse’s Motorplex at Mooresville, NC. Never mind the consequences at the end of the race, Jordan will certainly look forward to doing Denny & the daughters proud with her high-speed hijinks this week. Her hubby will then look forward to the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race the following weekend to match Jordan’s potentially fruitful advances under his watchful eyes.

With that being said. Let’s look at the other drivers competing for the $10,000 prize on Wednesday.
