If there ever was a way of genuinely looking into someone’s mind, one would find all the NASCAR drivers wanting to win the Cup Series title in 2022. And why not? It’s a new car, a new rulebook; the chances are higher than ever. However, most drivers won’t admit to that very thing, their desire to win the title; they’ll simply remain ‘humble.’ Denny Hamlin isn’t one of those drivers.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has had an incredible career so far. Right from the onset, those who heard the name ‘Denny Hamlin’ immediately knew of the caliber that name had, the caliber to be a Cup champion.

But things, in that regard, haven’t panned out as expected. Because Hamlin has won many races but not one Cup title. Many times he has come close, but not close enough.
Regardless, his spirit is untainted, his confidence unaffected, and his intentions unhinged.
In a recent interview, the FedEx Camry driver addressed his chances of finally winning what has evaded him for years, and years.
“Absolutely we can win,” Hamlin said. “There is no question. I just need some kind of break to fall our way when it counts. You know, anytime you have one racer take all, you have to have some elements that are out of your control and go your way, and I just haven’t had that moment happen yet.”
“We’ve been in the final four now in the last three years, so yes, every year is a new opportunity.”
Denny Hamlin is feeling better than ever
Hamlin, who has hovered on the top side of the NASCAR grid for the better part of his career, claimed he is better than ever heading into the 2022 season. “I love doing what I’m doing because I would argue that I’m as good as I’ve ever been,” he said.
“The results are showing that.”

The results are indeed showing that.
In the last five seasons, Denny Hamlin has made it three times into the Last four. And that too, three times in a row in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

But this year, in 2022, he’d want to go all the way and win the whole thing.
