It’s been three days since the Talladega race, yet the drama remains alive. Kyle Busch might have won on Sunday, but his post-race comments have triggered a lot of events. His on-track tussle with Corey LaJoie started a war of words which took an interesting turn post the Spire Motorsports driver’s off-the-track reactions. Interestingly, it all got more got dramatic when Denny Hamlin took a dig at NASCAR recently.

There is no doubt how LaJoie has made it to Busch’s long list of nemesis post-Talladega. However, the most surprising thing over here has been NASCAR’s treatment of the #7 driver. In view of this, Hamlin and friends banter about the governing body as Dale Earnhardt Jr sees the funny side of it.

It is no secret how Kyle Busch and Corey LaJoie were at each other at the Talladega race. However, it was Busch who bumped the latter a few times in consecutive laps. While this enraged LaJoie, he almost thought of retaliating harder but held back.

However, he admitted his intentions over SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. For almost a similar confession, NASCAR penalized Denny Hamlin with a fine of $50,000 and docketed 25 points. While the ruling body has taken no action so far on LaJoie’s comments, questions of consistency have been raised.

Recently, Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, expressed his displeasure over this on Hamlin’s post. Here, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver proposed a tempting and entertaining tournament idea to help the sport with its low rating issues. To this, Kraft suggested in a sarcastic tone how NASCAR would have considered this idea had LaJoie proposed it.

It only got funnier when Hamlin replied to him. He said, In his [LaJoie’s] defense, NASCAR said they hadn’t heard the comments when they were asked. Big fans of @DirtyMoMedia  they are.” Even the three-time Daytona 500 winner didn’t hold back in mocking NASCAR.

The theory here is that since LaJoie expressed his intentions in a NASCAR-owned podcast, a blind eye is turned to it. While Hamlin admitted it on a DirtyMoMedia-owned podcast, they took little time in punishing him. So, that’s where the hypocrisy claims are coming from.

Certainly, it is questionable why NASCAR is quiet in this case. However, Dale Earnhardt Jr and others couldn’t help but shed their response to it.

One of the biggest complaints with NASCAR this season has been the inconsistency in their decision-making. With the Corey LaJoie incident, they are once again under the spotlight.

After stressing so much on the “intent” debate, NASCAR will be tested in this case. However, fans and Dale Earnhardt Jr saw the funny side of things here as they reacted to the Kraft and Hamlin conversation.

Dale Jr reacted by saying, “This is a funny tweet”.

There were some amazing reactions from the fans too.
