Another weekend, another NASCAR race, another horror show in the pit stops for Bubba Wallace leading to a poor result. That seems to be becoming normal considering how often it has happened to the 23XI Racing driver, with Kansas being the latest entry in that list.
But what made Kansas even more heartbreaking was the fact that Wallace did really have a shot at winning the race. He had a fast car; he was running strong, and then he was let down while his teammate Kurt Busch won the race.
At the end of the day. YOU control your own destiny. You have a choice when adversity meets you. Flop… or Fight…
Gave it my all. I can sleep good knowing that.

This led to co-owner Denny Hamlin admitting that they have let down their own driver and Wallace has all the right to be “frustrated.”
“Listen, I passed #45 pretty early, easily in traffic, but I couldn’t pass the #23. He was really, really fast, I mean extremely fast. The results don’t show it, but like I said, as a team, we’re letting him down right now,” the Joe Gibbs Racing driver said in a post-race interview.
When asked what could be done to fix the situation, Hamlin hinted that the issues will be dealt with “internally”. “We gotta work through some issues on pit road certainly,” he emphasized.
“I think we have to figure out how to manage races. And you don’t always have to have ‘Hail Mary’ stops in my opinion, sometimes you gotta run the ball and have a solid stop with no mistakes to keep you in the game,” Hamlin added.
Bubba Wallace is having trouble figuring out his current state of fate
After the race in Darlington, which was another poor result pertaining from factors out of his hands, Bubba Wallace admitted that he is wondering what he’s done wrong to have been done so wrong, so often.
“Just trying to figure out what I did to piss off the racing gods. Another great car and another great finish that was going to be there and a disappointing result. Just frustrating,” he had said.
