Lady Luck hasn’t favored Parker Kligerman in his last two full-time runs in the Xfinity Series with Big Machine Racing. But that could change given that the Truck Series is where the driver has been victorious in multiple races. Despite the disappointments at the Xfinity and Cup level, Kligerman never ruled out a return to part-time racing. Going by the latest developments, he is all set to reunite with his former team at the Craftsman Truck Series in hopes of racking up more race wins.
After announcing his retirement from full-time racing, Parker Kligerman will return to the Truck Series for a limited race in 2025.

Back in September when Kligerman announced his decision to leave NASCAR, fans were surprised. Despite coming in at 10th position, Kligerman felt it was the right time to explore new motorsports. He even retired from full-time competition. However, the racing bug hasn’t left him at all.
Heather Williams, the sports anchor for WCYB, confirmed this news on X, stating, “Abingdon-based @HendersonRace will have @pkligerman back in their truck for Daytona. The team hopes to run 10 races this season with Parker behind the wheel for as many races as his schedule will allow.” The bigger surprise here is the plan to run 10 races. Back when Klingerman retired, he hoped to come back for the odd race. “I hope to run some races, Trucks at Lime Rock next year, I would love to be in that race.”
The veteran driver has a rich history of running with several outfits in the Craftsman Truck Series, starting with his debut run at Brad Keselowski Racing. As part of Penske’s development program, he was seen as the next big talent to take the NASCAR world by storm. In 2012, he clinched his first national series win driving the No. 17 RAM truck at Talladega.

He had to wait another four years before he could celebrate another Truck Series win. He returned to winning ways with Henderson Motorsports, driving the No. 75 Toyota truck on a part-time run. Ever since their first year together, Parker Kligerman has had a streak of one or more races with the team every year. And this partnership is going to continue in 2025.
Kligerman’s three Craftsman Truck Series wins have come with the No. 75 Henderson Motorsports team, and they will be eyeing to add more wins together in 2025. Without the full-time commitment, Kligerman is also expected to work with NBC Sports and give more time to his podcast show, The Money Lap. Hopefully, the new year brings good fortune for the Connecticut native, as his 2024 season was mired by drama and run-ins with bad luck.

One of the primary reasons why Kligerman continued his full-time run in the Xfinity Series was to register his first win in the division. The 2024 season was his third run as a full-time driver, and he did take the checkered flag during the Charlotte Roval race. After multiple heartbreaks and disappointments, it looked like Kligerman finally had his first Xfinity Series win. But the celebrations ended prematurely as the NASCAR officials were reviewing the finish with Leland Honeyman Jr.’s last-lap accident that brought out the caution flag.
Well, Honeyman Jr. was in the tire barrier for 15-20 seconds, but for some reason, the officials brought out the yellow just as the #48 Chevy crossed the finish line. Upon reviewing the video evidence, it was concluded that Kligerman’s car was just short of taking the start-finish line. As a result, the race had to go into overtime, and Kligerman wasn’t able to defend his lead against charging Sam Mayer. This was the closest the veteran driver came to clinching his first win in the Xfinity Series. Needless to say, fans and supporters were livid to see NASCAR spoil Kligerman’s win.
Following the verdict, Kligerman opened up to the NASCAR world about the gut-wrenching loss. “They called this strategy. I didn’t agree with it. I wanted to go for points, but they were right. It put us in the position to go and get that. God, I was driving my heart out for that last run. I needed five more feet or something. If it went green to the end, we had it. I don’t know how to process this. It’s gonna take a while. Just really thankful to have the opportunity … I love this game. I just want to get a trophy.”
