Chase Elliott longs for that exhilarating moment of crossing the checkered flag, raising both hands in the air, and celebrating his victory, just like he did last year in Nashville. Undoubtedly, Hendrick Motorsports has long been recognized as the leading team in delivering wins for its drivers. However, the team has faced some challenges. In light of this, Chase Elliott and his team were snubbed by both Kyle Petty and Steve Letarte, former crew chief for Hendrick Motorsports.

He remarked, “They said, we can’t win this thing, we’re just gonna get the best finish we can,” Petty noted, adding, “They conceded to defeat at that point of time.” Petty also highlighted a significant shift in Rick Hendrick’s organization, suggesting that they might have learned this approach from Le Mans.
Subsequently, Steve Letarte also commented on Elliott’s performance during an episode of Dirty Mo Media. He questioned, “How much do you think the line moves because Chase Elliott’s the favorite as far as most popular? Because I haven’t seen anything out of Chase Elliott since he should be anywhere near this group. On our predictor, we have him in tier three; a barely inside the top 10 driver.” However, Elliott’s actions and words paint a different picture.
