Deegan’s journey to this point has been marked by dedication and hard work. Currently competing in the Truck Series under ThorSport Racing, she’s earned recognition as the two-time Truck Series Most Popular Driver. Deegan’s path to the Xfinity Series includes a brief yet impressive stint in the 2022 season when she piloted the No. 07 Ford for SS GreenLight Racing at Las Vegas.
Starting 20th, she left a strong impression with a lead lap 13th-place finish. However, she has achievements beyond the Trucks as well, with appearances in ARCA West in 2018 and 2019, where she secured three victories.
In a statement according to NBC Sports, Deegan expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, “I am excited about the opportunity to compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, starting next year with AM Racing. From the start, the team has been nothing but great to work with, and the vision that (AM Racing president Wade Moore) has for the team to accomplish aligns with my values perfectly.”
“Through the support of Ford and the AM Racing team, I feel that we will achieve great things together in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. And I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for all of us,” she concluded.

Fans within the NASCAR community have been quick to voice their opinions and predictions on social platforms. One Reddit user initiated a discussion on whether ThorSport Racing would remain loyal to Ford or explore other options. The responses varied, offering intriguing insights into the possibilities.
However, there were a few who believed that ThorSport racing could finally move back to Chevrolet as one fan wrote, “Maybe they finally switch back to Chevy. Only been 12 years.“ Others believed that ThorSport Racing might opt to stay with Ford due to the mutual benefits of their partnership. One wrote, “I doubt ThorSport would switch after just one season with a new manufacturer.” Another comment backed this up, “They like to be the main focus of a manufacturer so staying with Ford would make sense.”
However, the idea of switching back to Toyota or Chevy wasn’t entirely ruled out by some fans. Ty Majeski, another driver in the Ford stable, was mentioned as a potential factor in the decision. One fan mentioned that ThorSport leaving Ford would be a big loss for Ford. “If Thorsport really does switch manufacturers, that’s some big competition that Ford is losing. Like if that’s true, all they have is the 38, the 22, and yeah, nothing else. I honestly expect them to stay at Ford, because Ty Majeski is more of a Ford guy when looking at his career.”
