More often than not, it is witnessed that daughters tend to be more close to their fathers. Unsurprisingly, Cale Yarborough too has had a strong relationship with his daughter Kelley.

It is no secret how Yarborough made the fans go gaga with his driving during his racing days. Winning three consecutive championships in NASCAR’s top division is no joke. In fact, he remains one of the only two drivers to achieve this feat. Not just that, with 83 wins to his name, he is tied with Jimmie Johnson in the all-time NASCAR Cup Series race winners’ list.

While he did amazingly well on the track, Yarborough did manage to balance his personal life equally well. Having said that, with age, the 84-year-old has struggled with his health. Just a couple of months back, it was reported that the Timmonsville-born driver was not keeping well. Unfortunately, it only gets worse with what his daughter Kelley had to disclose recently. In a post shared on Twitter, painful news about her father’s health came to light.

After undergoing a genetic test, results confirmed that Yarborough is suffering from a very rare genetic disorder. Despite no cure readily available, his family is giving their best to treat the symptoms. Naturally, his loyal fans were taken aback as they reacted to this upsetting news.

Not just the fans, even Dale Earnhardt Jr, who has a close relationship with the Yarborough family, reacted to this update.
