Drivers in the NASCAR All-Star Race compete fiercely for a staggering cash prize of one million dollars. This year, the race made a nostalgic return to the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. As a non-point event, the race’s ultimate reward for the victor is a check for one million dollars. It makes one curious about the breakdown of the NASCAR All-Star Race’s prize money!

The NASCAR All-Star Race bestows upon its winner an impressive sum of $1 million. Since 2003, this amount has stood firm. When adjusted for inflation, the value of $1 million in 2003 would be close to $1.64 million in 2023. Yet, in present-day value, it equates to roughly $609,508. However, there are a lot of things that can be done with this money, which is still a hefty amount. Trackhouse Racing star Daniel Suarez’s team speaks on the same.

Would you buy a farm or buy a car with that $1 million?

The NASCAR All-Star Race stands out as an event that challenges not just the skill of the drivers but also the effectiveness and accuracy of their pit teams. The lure of the substantial $1 million prize acts as a strong incentive, propelling teams to surpass their limits and achieve excellence.

For Daniel Suárez and his team, the opportunity to secure this prize transcends mere monetary gain. It represents a recognition of their relentless effort and commitment in the fiercely competitive NASCAR arena. When the #99 team’s crew members were asked what they would do with $1 million, they had varied yet “common” responses.

It seems like they have their plans sorted out. While someone thought of buying freeway auto insurance, another member said he would pay off for his house. Someone else presented his idea to buy acreage for a farm. Another member said that he would land his favorite car model, i.e., the 1994 version of the Fast & The Furious car.

Those are indeed some great plans. Wonder what Daniel Suarez would do with that money if he won? As he has spent a lot lately on dual residency (in the United States), hopefully the winning amount will pay off.

The 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race will unfold over 200 laps, marking the season’s second exhibition race. The North Wilkesboro Speedway, a track with a storied past that welcomed the NASCAR Cup Series in 1996, has been rejuvenated for the 2023 All-Star Week. This revival, which began with hosting the CARS Tour in August 2022, has led to the speedway’s selection for this prestigious race. Teams will have a selection of three Goodyear tire types at their disposal.

A standard “prime” tire, a softer “option” tire, and wet-weather tires for inclement conditions. Teams will qualify using the prime tire and commence the main event on the option tire. They can choose when to change tires beyond the initial qualification and start.
